From the Times-News: Jim Thorpe-Wilson
After trailing 6-3 after three innings, the Olympians got things going offensively to pull out a 17-6 non-league win over Wilson on Saturday, April 17 at Wilson.
Ben Stermer and Dan Russo (3 for 4) both garnering two RBIs apiece and Zach Knox had two hits and scored four runs.
For Wilson, Matt Izarek had a RBI triple.

Jim Thorpe 57, Williams Valley 35
JIM THORPE – Hilary Reis scored 10 of her 14 points in the first half as the Olympians built a 20-point lead at the break and coasted to a non-league win over the Vikings.
Celeste Robinson led all scorers with 16 points, and Chelsea Smelas added 11 for Jim Thorpe.

 The 2008-2009 Olympian basketball season came to an end in the District XI AAA semifinals. The Pottsville Crimson Tide defeated the Olympians 69-53. Thorpe only trailed by 3 entering the 4th quarter but a Tide offensive explosion paired with 20% JT free throw shooting doomed the Olympians. The Olympian wrestlers defeated Williams Valley 38-30 at home on Thursday night. The Olympians were paced by seniors Bill Rieck and Tony Mistyretta. Both wrestlers pinned their opponents. To view pictures from the match click here.

 The Olympian girls experienced their first loss of the year Saturday afternoon. Thorpe struggled shooting from the outside. Chelsea Smelas lead the Olympians scoring 12 points. Pictures from the game can be viewed by clicking here.
